The ‘RAC Service Workshop Quality Programme’ has been instigated by Ford to manage and improve Ford’s Authorised Repairers workshop quality and customer satisfaction. It provides ease of mind for customers that the Ford Dealer is the best place to take their Ford for service or repair work. RAC Inspection Services inspect up to 10,000 customer-owned vehicles each year, which are in the dealership for service or repair work. An extensive number of physical checks are completed and the vehicle is placed under an audit process using the Ford Quality Check procedure. The RAC Quality Check confirms that the Ford Dealer has carried out all their requested work fully and to the high standards prescribed by Ford Motor Company. RAC was selected to manage this programme as they provide an independent, objective service and are a recognised and trusted brand. RAC carry out 6,000 unannounced workshop audits per year throughout the 700-strong Ford dealer network in the UK. Since the programme began in 2005, rigorous vehicle checking conducted by RAC Examining Engineers shows that Ford dealers continue to improve their repair and servicing quality levels throughout the UK network.
